NICU Follow-up Team

Donna Vaught, PhD, Developmental Psychologist
Donna Vaught completed both her undergraduate and graduate school training at Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in 1990 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in 1991. Donna is NIDCAP trained and has been working with the NICU at NHRMC since September 1996. In addition to her duties at the hospital, Donna is a part-time instructor in the Department of Psychology at University of North Carolina - Wilmington.

 

Alison Martin, NICU Family Follow-up Coordinator
Alison Martin draws from her personal experience as a two-time NICU graduate parent in her position as the NICU Family Follow-Up Coordinator for Coastal Carolina Neonatology.  She provides encouragement to NICU families, and strives to foster bonds with those whose infants may benefit most from receiving specialty care in the NICU Follow-Up Clinic after they have transitioned to home.  Alison also represents the family voice on the VON Quality Improvement Team, Co-Chairs the Betty H. Cameron Women’s & Children’s Hospital Neonatal Family Advisory Council, and is an advocate for Family Centered Care.  She is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and holds a BS in Business Administration, Marketing.
